Privacy policy

What we collect

Your email address and a hashed password, to sign you in. A display name, if you choose one.

What you record in the app: gardens, plots, crops, waterings, harvests, photos and notes.

Where your gardens are, because weather and frost alerts resolve against that. You place them on a map yourself; we do not track your location in the background.

Minimal technical logs: method, path, response code, account id. Never request bodies, session tokens or email addresses.

What we do not collect

No advertising trackers, no third-party analytics cookies, no profiling.

We do not sell or rent any data, to anyone, under any circumstances.

Our processors

Exactly two: Postmark, for transactional email such as password resets, and Cloudflare, for bot protection on public forms.

File storage, the database and error collection are self-hosted and send nothing to a third party.

How long

Your data is kept while your account exists.

Content removed by moderation is permanently deleted — database rows and files — ninety days later: the appeal window and any authority request need it to still exist, and keeping it indefinitely serves nothing.

A moderation decision keeps its author reference for twelve months, for platform safety, and is then anonymised.

A session expires after thirty days; a password reset link, after one hour.

Deleting your account

From your profile, in the app. It takes effect immediately and needs no email and no justification.

Your content enters the deletion cycle above. Your account is anonymised rather than deleted row by row: the address is erased, the password destroyed, sessions revoked.

One point is worth stating plainly: if your account has been reported, that report survives without your identity. An erasure request cannot be used to erase the record of reported behaviour and start again with a fresh account.
